Yay Dorse!!! I'm so glad to see his work ethic paired with great mentoring result in a fabulous season for him. It's time for everyone to learn what I've known for years. Hahaha. Oh and the other guys on this list aren't half bad. Thanks for the positive highlights, Rob!

Personally, I'm delighted with the Prospal signing! I think he's just about the perfect pickup to play beside Nash and Carter, especially on the power play. In addition, his attitude and enthusiasm will be great additions to the room. The overwhelming attitude from fans everywhere he's played is that the Jackets made a smart pickup, our fans will love him, and all wish him nothing but the best. To me, that's a fine testimonial and more significant than even the positive reviews of the move by the hockey press!

So do you see the 1st line being LW Prospal,C Carter, RW Nash? or nash prospal carter? just wondering who is better at faceoffs. Also barring injuries do you feel this team is 100% done? I KNOW they are set at D but now we are relying on 2 rookies being top 13 on the forwards most likely RyJo and Mayorov ? Any word on ticket sales compared to this time last year?

A few people told me that Scott Howson mentioned on the fan conference call a line of Nash-Carter-Umberger. Why not? Overload the front of the net and give the center some room to shoot the puck from scoring areas. Carter thinks he and Nash will possess the puck a lot, so how about they make it hell on the opposition?

You're exactly right, Pete. As Carter pointed out this morning - he and Nash both like to shoot the puck and take it to the net. Net drives usually draw an extra defender (or in Nash's case maybe two), leaving more room for the other to either lose his checker or join the party in the crease.

I agree with you that Nash and Carter will and should play together. What interests me most, is who will line up with them. Does Brassard switch to the wing? His playmaking ability would look nice with them. I think Umberger would be the best fit, as he could crash the net and the corners to do the dirty work for Nash and Carter. Additionally, Carter and Umberger were linemates in Philadelphia, so they already know how to play well together. However, that leaves a pretty soft second line. What I look forward to is Johansen centering Nash and Carter in about two or three years. All big guys, all elite skilled and their games look to be good fits together.
