About Me

Hockey grabbed my attention from the moment I was old enough to pay attention to something. Not only did I love hockey, but I became captivated by the unique blend of art and competitiveness that it showed me.

I was a three-year staff member of The Post, the student-run newspaper of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. During my time at the paper I served as a stringer, staff writer and finally the assistant sports editor in 2009-10.

One of the best experiences of my life was my 2008 internship with the Columbus Blue Jackets. I got to learn from professionals in the field I aspired to, and they made me feel like part of the team (instead of the intern that got their coffee and made copies).

I’m back with them now and couldn’t be happier. I’m learning the ropes from familiar faces who I’m glad to call my friends. And I get to be part of something special to me: the National Hockey League.

The purpose of this blog is to document what I see, hear and think throughout the course of this hockey season and beyond. Of course, content will focus on the Blue Jackets but there will be other material scattered about.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy putting time into it.

*The views in this blog are my own, and are not those of the Columbus Blue Jackets or the NHL.*
